When you arrive at Hudson Dental Arts for your first appointment, our friendly team will warmly welcome you. To ensure a smooth visit, please bring your dental insurance card and arrive a few minutes early to complete our registration forms. Here’s what you can expect during your initial exam:
1. Comprehensive Exam
Your first appointment will typically last about an hour and a half. Your dentist will take the time to understand your dental goals and desires. While it is unlikely that you will receive a cleaning during this visit, we will thoroughly examine your jaw’s structure, teeth position, and overall oral health.
2. Diagnostic X-Rays
To gather complete information, diagnostic X-rays will be taken. These X-rays will assist your dentist in assessing the condition of your teeth and the underlying structures.
3. Periodontal Evaluation
Our team will conduct a periodontal evaluation to assess the health of your gums and surrounding tissues.
4. Diagnostic Photographs
Photographs may be taken to aid in analyzing your oral health and tracking progress over time.
5. Evaluation of Existing Dental Work
If you have any existing dental work, such as fillings or crowns, we will examine their condition and placement.
6. Oral Hygiene Instructions

7. Q & A With the Dentist
